Peak wildflower blooms and rushing waterfalls

Wildflower Peak Bloom

Trilliums, bloodroot, dogwoods, and mountain laurel at peak color. The forest floor is a riot of color in late April and May.

Waterfalls at Peak Flow

Spring snowmelt and April rains mean waterfalls are at their most dramatic. Canyon streams are roaring and powerful.

Ideal Weather

Mild temps (50–65°F), fewer bugs than summer, and less humidity. Comfortable for all fitness levels.

Fewer Crowds Than Summer

Spring hikers are fewer than July-August, so you get private, peaceful experiences on world-class trails.

"Booked Old Rag for a work retreat. Gary knew every rock on that mountain. Best team experience we've had — and I've planned a lot of them."

What it does

Everything that isn't guiding, handled autonomously.

Booking Command Center

See every upcoming hike, customer detail, and calendar gap in one view. No more spreadsheet juggling or missed follow-ups.

Automated Outreach

Post-hike review requests, rebooking nudges, and seasonal campaigns that run without touching your inbox.

Revenue Intelligence

Track revenue per hike, per season, per customer segment. Know exactly which trails and packages are most profitable.

Growth Engine

Corporate wellness outreach, gear affiliate tracking, and competitor monitoring. Systematically fill your calendar.

When you are the product, the business only grows as fast as you do.

Gary guides every hike personally. That's the brand promise. But it means every hour spent on admin is an hour not spent on the trail or finding new customers.

1

Booking admin eats evenings

Coordinating schedules, sending confirmations, handling reschedules. Hours per week that could be hikes.

2

Past hikers go cold

Without systematic follow-up, one-time customers stay one-time. No rebooking sequences, no seasonal nudges.

3

Corporate market untouched

DC is full of companies that would pay premium for team-building hikes. Nobody's reaching out to them.

4

No revenue visibility

Which seasons peak? Which trails sell? Which customer segments rebook? Hard to grow what you can't measure.

The most booked guide in Northern Virginia.

Hiking Wild already has what no competitor can buy: 25 years of trail knowledge, a loyal customer base, and a personal brand people trust. HikingWildOS removes the ceiling. Automate the back office, systematize customer growth, and let Gary do what he does best, every single day.

25 years on Virginia's trails. Still learning.

Gary's been guiding hikers through Shenandoah and the Blue Ridge since the late '90s. Old Rag in any season, White Oak Canyon when the waterfalls are roaring, Hawksbill at sunrise — he knows these mountains better than most people know their own neighborhood.

Every hike is personal. Small groups (6 max), private experience, and zero pressure. Whether you're training for bigger mountains or just want to get outside without getting lost, Gary meets you where you are.
